Lad came to us from our friends Kicki and Jorgen in Sweden.  I was visiting Kicki and Jorgen when Lad's mother was just a kitten, only 3 months old, and I was very impressed with her!   She was very strong and solid for a young female kitten.  When I saw on Lisjoskogen's homepage there were plans to breed her to a very nice looking male, I anxiously waited for the kittens to be born!  As soon as they were born I saw that Lad was very nice and thought, I like him!!!!!! Each week I watched for pictures of Lad as he grew and in March of 2010 I met Lad in Oslo for the first time and home with me he came!  

Lad is a super sweet cat with a great temperament!  He is so lovable and enjoys being with us and the cats.  He has many great qualities along with a pedigree that is new to us so it will be interesting and exciting to see what he adds to our breeding program.   He's a little shy at the shows and prefers to just sit on the judging table instead of showing himself off so we haven't brought him out too many shows.  We'll try again soon.  Practice makes perfect! ;)    

January 2012:   As is turns out, Lad decided breeding was not for him.   We spoke with Kicki & Jorgen and we agreed that we would neuter Lad and find a nice home for him in Massachusetts.  Lad will be moving into the home of Phyllis & Roger and their two Maine Coons.   They are wonderful people who will provide him with a great home.   Lad's sweet temper will be missed but we know his new owners will love him!
